What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle and nurturing form of energy healing that can help increase your sense of wellbeing, reduce stress and anxiety, allow you to relax deeply, create peace and calm and re-energise you to face life’s challenges and adventures. Reiki can also work well with animals.

Reiki was first developed in Japan in the early 20th century by Buddhist monk Mikao Usui in which a practitioner’s hands are placed gently on or above the client’s body to facilitate the flow of universal energy with the aim of restoring balance on a mental, physical and emotional level. The reiki energy also stimulates the body's own ability to heal itself.
